Featured Speaker: Karel Sovak
Dr. Karel Sovak is the Dean of the Gary Tharaldson School of Business at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, an institution he has been at since 2002.
His teaching and facilitation include courses in management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and virtuous, servant-leadership, as well as Catholic Social Teaching in Business. Karel embarked on a mission-driven Catholic Business Education philosophy for GTSB when he became Dean in 2020, which provides all faculty a way to model the behavior they expect from students and how each faculty member should conduct themselves as exemplars for their students.
Karel completed his doctoral work in Applied Management and Decision Sciences, specializing in Organizational Change and Leadership with Walden University.
He is married, with five children and eight grandchildren, and number nine on the way!
