Alan Smith-Regional Director for the Western Region-CBMC USA
While Alan Smith’s home state is Minnesota, Florida has long been a second home for his family. For nearly 40 years, Alan and his wife, Clare, along with their daughters, Gabby and Erin, and now granddaughter Laila, have spent several weeks each year along Florida’s Gulf Coast, primarily on Sanibel Island.
After nearly two decades in the heavy-equipment industry with Caterpillar, Alan sensed God calling him into full-time ministry in 2010, when he joined the staff of Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC). He served for nearly a decade as CBMC’s Northland Senior Area Director before becoming CBMC USA’s Regional Director for the West Region in 2019.
Throughout his career and ministry, Alan has had a passion for helping men discover that the workplace is more than a place to earn a living—it is a mission field where God has uniquely positioned them to live out and share their faith.
