Alan Klein Alan was born and raised in North Dakota. He attended the University of North Dakota, earning a BSBA in Accounting in 1967, and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army. After serving two years of active duty, he returned to the University of North Dakota, receiving a Master's Degree in Accounting in 1970. From 1971 through 1977, he worked for an International CPA firm in Billings, MT, before returning to Bismarck and concluding his accounting career with Eide Bailly LLP, a large regional certified public accounting firm, retiring in 2007 after more than 29 years of service, including 20 years as partner-in-charge of the Bismarck office.
He has an active role in coordinating the North Dakota Governor's Prayer Breakfast, which he was a part of organizing in 1993. In addition, he is the state coordinator for the National Prayer Breakfast held annually in Washington, DC., and is also involved with other ministries, including Steer, Inc., Teen Challenge, CRU, and Young Life.
He and his wife, Ginger, live in Bismarck.
