About Mark Whitacre

In the early 1990s, Mark Whitacre became the highest-ranked Fortune 500 executive to turn FBI whistleblower, secretly wearing a wire for three years to expose a massive global price-fixing cartel at Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). However, his cooperation unraveled when the FBI discovered he was simultaneously embezzling $9.5 million from the company, resulting in a loss of immunity and an 8.5-year federal prison sentence. This bizarre dual life inspired the 2009 biographical comedy-inflected film The Informant!, starring Matt Damon as Whitacre.

After discovering Christianity while incarcerated, Whitacre completely pivoted his career and now works at Coca-Cola Consolidated where he serves as the Vice President of Culture & Care and Executive Director of the t-factor initiative. In this role, he champions corporate faith integration, actively pushing for marketplace ministry by installing chaplains across production sites, organizing workplace prayer groups, and helping other corporations build purpose-driven, faith-based organizational cultures.
