OUR FEATURED SPEAKER...


Tom Visney-Retired U.S. Marines and City of Miami Police Department 

Born in Ohio and raised across seven states, he developed resilience and adaptability at an early age. After high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps, including overseas assignments in Nicaragua and Argentina, before earning degrees in Criminal Justice and International Relations from Miami-Dade College and Florida International University.

He dedicated 32 years to the City of Miami Police Department, serving in patrol, investigations, crisis intervention, and leadership roles. At the same time, he completed 32 years of service in the Marine Corps Reserve and Florida National Guard, combining a lifelong commitment to protecting and serving others. Fluent in Spanish, he has spent much of his career building bridges across South Florida’s diverse communities.

A man of deep faith, he has been married for 42 years to his Chilean wife, whom he met while studying abroad in Argentina. Together they raised two children and helped raise their grandson, Tommy. Active in church ministry for many years, he now enjoys retirement, serving his parish, traveling with his wife, and encouraging others through a life marked by faith, family, and service.
