Mike Ehrhart

Mike enjoyed a 32 year career in product development that started with the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics helping to design submarines. After over 10 years in the defense industry, Mike joined Welch Allyn in Skaneateles, NY as a program manager in their barcode reading division.  While with that team Mike earned an MBA at the University of Rochester Simon School of Business. That education enabled Mike to pursue a track in company leadership including roles as Director of Technology and Senior VP of Advanced Technology and Strategy. In these roles Mike became a named inventor on over 40 US patents.  Mike worked with a small team to sell the company, then named Hand Held Products in 2007 to Honeywell.  After the sale, Mike joined the medical division of Welch Allyn eventually retiring as Executive Vice President of Product Development and Technology in 2015.

Upon leaving corporate life, Mike co-founded Beautiful Mess Ministries in 2016 with his son and brother (www.beautifulmesministries.com)  This ministry uses live worship music to build community and then deploys this community into three long standing missions in the city of Syracuse.  The ministry tag line is “Unify in Music. Mobilize in Mission.”  Primarily, the ministry is focused on helping believers in Jesus grow into devout followers of Jesus.  This happens by providing practical opportunities for believers in Jesus to express their God given gifts to the benefit of others, and do so with a loving and supportive volunteer community.

After raising their family in Liverpool, NY, Mike, and his wife Janet, split their time between Sodus, NY and Venice, FL. Mike and Janet enjoy spending time with their three children and five grandchildren.
